Berlin Fashion Week
Berlin has held its Mercedes-Benz Berlin Fashion Week recently with remarkable taste and quality. The show was held at the Hamburger Bahnhof museum which included a huge entertainment tent, four bars, and excellent service. The music was blaring and the guests were so drunk they had to recover with massive hangovers.
The styles seem to be a throwback to the 1920’s where male geeky and sexy secretary seem to fit in just fine. Many of the styles reflect a traditional era before major changes in sex and role relationships. This style seems to be associated with the current recession and its relation to the Great Depression.
The types of clothing that men should be looking for should be a little more dressy with very traditional cuts and colors. The classier and geekier a man looks the more likely they will be in style this year. Suits, blazers, dress shoes, and earth tones seem to be the nature of events. Throw on some black leather gloves and you are on the right track.
Women should think administrative and sexy secretary. Skirts, blazers, thick glasses and super sexy hair are in this year. Nothing wrong with some nice 6 inch heals and a little glitter on the bag. Mixing traditional with a little flare will work well. It is hard to find the money for such items in a tough economy. However, with a little looking around everything should be good.
