There may be some new acting, modeling, film and crew jobs coming to Detroit area. You may view the information and attend their auditions coming up on February 13th, 2012

Extras/Actors/Models/Film Crew/ Adults & Kids 8 years old to 80 years old needed—all types and sizes for movies and television shows. Apply in person on Monday February 13, 2012. 2012 Female Fashion Tips-Let’s Get Sleek, Traditional and Bright!

Women are going to have a great time slipping into those bright cheerful colors this spring. Why should they not! The economy is looking better and so is the clothing. After years of boring earth colors we are finally moving to clothing that brightens everyone’s day. Sorry, brides maids…there will not be lots of bright flower patters on your blouses this year! Instead….you are likely to find sleek looking dresses with bright colored patterns and soft patterns blended into the background.

Instead what you will find plain patters of single color meshing with other colors around it. You will also find a more conservative approach of light, soft, and neutral patterns on single color outfits. Versace has a sleek white dress with sea horses and shells to give that sun on the beach image! This year it is all about being fresh, natural, and alive! Whether you want to go bright or conservatively sleek this year is all up to you.

The feminine clothing appears to have gotten a little more conservative and traditional in image but much more sleeker in design. Flashing a little leg in a sleek, soft fitting, and flirty outfit is likely to turn heads. If you are not dressed to impress then do not bother spending your money on clothing. It is a tough economy and you might want to consider getting the biggest bang for your buck by buying what is going to be hot this year.

“Spring runways were more colorful than the crowd at a Lady Gaga concert. Bold, solid-color pieces—like a cardi and skirt, wrap dress or demure one-piece suit—make simple dressing look glam. Vogue has a few comments about the patters to be found in 2012:

“At Mary Katrantzou, tropical fish pixelated across taffeta cocktail dresses, while sugary seahorses, starfish and scallop shells played across Versace’s Neoprene biker jackets and teeny tailored shorts (Hutchings, 2012).

Knowing the clothing trends will help you pick outfits that do not burn through your paycheck. It is important to look at quality and design over the label. You can purchase most of the items for your outfit for a lot less money than the elite brand companies are willing to offer. Look for the styles as you hit shopping mall this year and do not worry about the brand unless it offers something of value to you.

Theater Production: “Annie Get Your Gun” Open Auditions
casting location: San Diego, CA
Valley Center Community Theater (VCCT) is holding AUDITIONS for the upcoming musical “Annie Get Your Gun”, featuring the Valley Center Symphony Orchestra. Auditions will be held February 21 and 22, from 6:30 – 8:45 p.m. at the Valley Center Primary School (14249 Fruitvale Rd., Valley Center 92082). Callbacks will be held Saturday, February 25 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Valley Center Library (29200 Cole Grade Rd., 92082).

Please prepare a one minute monologue and a 30 second song selection, sung acapella (no songs from the show please). Bring a current headshot, resume, Audition Form and Actor Commitment Form (available at www.vcct.org, Cast Information).

Increase Your Time-Management: Time and Goal Free Tools

Time management is an important function of productivity in both one’s personal life and work life. Harnessing time sounds like some far out quantum-physics concept but it is really very easy. Time is a function of speed (velocity) and more things accomplished in a certain time (24 hours) if one is focused. This article will hopefully help you with your time management skills as well as give you some resources for further consideration.

We know that life can take a considerable amount of effort in order to meet the day-to-day challenges. Those that seem to manage time well also appear to have a stronger grasp of life. They are able to accomplish more and do more in a regular day than many others. Their time management skills free them to do more with the pressed time they have.

Tracking Your Time: Tracking time can help you understand where your time is spent. Knowing how you are using your time will help you align that time to your goals. For example, if your goal is to spend more time reading then you may need to adjust how you are spending time in order to complete your reading tasks. The more you are able to align your efforts to your goals the more likely you will achieve these goals.

How to Track Your Time: Track your time by taking the following free sheet from MindTools.com and filling it out over the period of 5 to 7 days. Track each hour you use and in what activity. In any particular day you should have somewhere around 14 hours of use. Once this time is tracked it is possible to calculate how much time is being used in what activities.

There are a number of free services available that allow for tracking time online, monthly reports, weekly reports and statistics. Know Your Goals:

It is hard to truly know if you are spending your time well unless you are prioritizing your goals. Goals can be set in any number of life areas such as work, income, recreation, fitness, etc… The possibilities are endless. However, to get started it make sense to use a goal or two to start. Knowing your goals fosters adjustment of times to meet such goals. For example, if you were learning the piano you could make sure your time put forth is at least an hour.

Prioritize Your Goals and Time:

Review your goals and prioritize them in importance. Likewise, prioritize the time you spend to ensure you are meeting your goals. For example, if learning how to play piano is more important to you then watching television this would be higher in your priority list. Activities that contribute to the achievement of learning how to play the piano should be completed first.

Adjust Your Time to Meet Your Goals:

Once you understand how you are using your time and the goals you have in life it becomes easier to adjust your time spent in achieving those goals. For example, if you are spending one hour a day but not achieving your goals you may need to adjust the amount of time each day on that activity. This will require you to prioritize your efforts and remove those that are not contributing to your goals.

J Amore is having a casting call for the new hit play “One Big Mess” starring your girl Paigion from Hot 107.5 and guest host of 106 & Park. We are calling all actors and singers to be a part of this special production.

One Big Mess is a play that will make you laugh, cry and think as the story unfolds. Come be a part of a show that will take audiences by storm as they witness the sex, lies and deceit that will be sure to hit close to home.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS:

Kyla- Beautiful, strong woman who is family oriented, submissive and naive. She wants to believe everything in her relationship is great but will come to learn that is far from the truth. (Any ethnicity 20′s to early 30′s)

Denzel- Handsome smooth talking ladies man who loves his daughter but takes his relationship with Kyla for granted. Though he does care for her he is a player who has no desire to change his ways just yet. (Any ethnicity 20′s to early 30′s)

Clinton- Clinton is Denzel’s best friend who tries to convince him to appreciate what he has at home. He is well built (muscular) kind of nerd yet smooth in his own way. He is the night in shining armor type. (Any ethnicity 20′s to early 30′s)

Pastor Roberts- He is a cheerful loving Pastor who tries to do the best he can for everyone. Things change when a bold confession rocks him to the core. (Any ethnicity 30′s to mid 50′s, must be a strong singer)

Sister Regina- She is the gorgeous soft spoken wife of Pastor Roberts. She is strong in her faith and has a strong desire to please her man. (Any ethnicity mid 20′s to mid 30′s)

Conrad- He is an overweight suck up who attends Pastor Roberts church. He is a yes man that winds up doing more harm than good. (Any ethnicity early 30′s to mid 50′s)

Sister Veronica- Conceited model type who is vain, bossy and stuck up. She believes the world should be handed to her on a silver platter and causes problems for others. (Caucasian female 20′s to early 30′s)

Daughter of Kyla and Denzel- Typical fun loving kid who is a daddy’s girl. (Any ethnicity 7-12)

We also need many people to play choir members along with musicians both young and old. 1970′s Polish Mob Movie Now Seeking Actors in Detroit

Tin Rain Films is casting a full feature film that resembles the 1970′s style mobster movies. They will be using the historic and beautiful City of Detroit to cast their movie. Detroit has hundreds of classic streets, buildings, landmarks, and other historic treasure. The city could become a historic mecca for the renovation market and investment community. Investor confidence could rise if the City’s financial troubles are first fixed. A number of proposals of creating a international trade bridge have been proposed.

This movie will likely be recruiting for speaking, non-speaking, and extras. I am sure they might even have a few principles in there!

People Flying Around New York for the “Chronicle” Movie

An interesting phenomenon happened in New York last Friday. People looked, gawked, and took out their cell phone to catch the flying people in New York. Even though it left people confused it was not humans that were flying. No…it was not aliens either. It was remote controlled plans that look like people. They were designed to gear up attention and “buzz” for the movie Chronicle. The Chronicle is a movie about three teenage boys who find out they have super powers.The stunt was designed to create “buzz” about the movie. This type of advertising is called viral marketing and has become more popular now the the Internet has taken hold of most families. The idea is to do some amazing stunt that gets people to take pictures, videos, and start talking about “happening”. People will often post the messages on their Facebook, emails, and many other sites creating free advertisement and excitement.

Date: Monday January 30, 2012.
Place: 600 S. Michigan Ave. Room 1501 (Studio A). Time: 4 pm. – 7pm.
Compensation: Each Actor will receive a copy of the pilot for the reel.
Production Dates: From now until the beginning of May we will film on eight Mondays and two Saturdays

Time management is an important aspect of creating a successful life. With time management it is possible to organize and adjust time so one can accomplish more in life than before. With proper time management skills it is possible to actually do more of what you want while still reaping the benefits of stress reduction and better health. Time management can make possible in your life activities that you simple were not able to do before.

Relativity of Time:
Max Planck and then Isaac Newton discovered that time is relative. That if velocity increased then time would pass faster because more things would be accomplished. Likewise, if something moved slower then time would appear slower because less things would be accomplished. In essence, one can accomplish much more if they are able to organize their time.

Know How Well You Are Using Your Time:

Below you will find a link that will lead you to a website that will allow you to take a short few minute quiz to determine how well you are doing. This quiz will then give you a ranking and provide you some advice on how to handle your time. It is important to seek out better ways to manage your time and schedule your life to greater accomplishment and fulfillment.

What Will You Do With Your Time?

If you do finally figure out how to save time you will also need to determine what you want to do with the time you saved. For many of us it is beneficial to engage in exercise, spend time with family, find some new pursuit of hobbies, or read a book. The choice is open to you.
